Dental crown

Dental crowns, the long-lasting solution to keep your teeth in your mouth

During your regular check-up, the dentist will inform you if any of your teeth require dental crowns. In general dentistry, a crown may be recommended to cover an implant, a severely decayed natural tooth, or a fractured tooth. Crowns may also be suggested for other reasons, which only the dentist can properly assess.

The crown is placed over the damaged tooth to strengthen and protect it. Contact us if you have any questions or would like more information about the different types of dental crowns available.

Dental bridge

A dental bridge, commonly called a fixed bridge or partial prosthesis, is used to replace one or more missing teeth.

Supported by crowns, a dental bridge is anchored to adjacent teeth or implants. It serves to replace missing teeth, improve chewing function, and prevent adjacent teeth from shifting into the space left by one or more missing teeth. A dental bridge is a long-lasting treatment option.

The general dentists at K. Smile Dental Center offer prosthodontic services in Montreal.

Complete or partial rehabilitation

Dental rehabilitation is offered when there are multiple problems in the mouth.

Our dentists will listen to you and assist you in the complete or partial rehabilitation of your smile.

  • Missing teeth, misaligned teeth

  • Tooth wear

  • Chewing problems

  • Gum disease

  • To strengthen fragile teeth

  • And other cases and/or situations

Rehabilitation is performed either with crowns on natural teeth or with crowns on dental implants. Each case is unique. Our dentists and hygienists take the time to perform a complete oral health assessment and, above all, to listen to the patient's expectations. Depending on the patient's oral health problems and needs, dental rehabilitation can be complete or partial.

Dental veneers

A beautiful smile contributes to a better mood, affects self-esteem and allows us to make a good impression on others.

Dental veneers are used to cover the surface of teeth. They can improve the aesthetics of your teeth and help improve their color, correct alignment, and restore them, whether they are worn, deformed, or otherwise. Veneers also help close spaces between teeth. Dental veneers are made of porcelain or composite and have the advantage of being custom-designed using cutting-edge technology. We offer dental veneer services in Pierrefonds.

Gum graft

The gums are very often overlooked. Yet, they are an essential element of our oral health.

The gum plays a crucial role in maintaining the health of the surrounding bone that supports the tooth. When the gum weakens and recedes, the tooth root becomes exposed, which can lead to sensitivity and even tooth mobility.

Gum grafting is offered in two forms: autogenous grafting (using tissue taken from the patient’s own palate) or allogeneic grafting (using a pre-prepared graft from a donor that has been sterilized). Both techniques have excellent success rates.
